Imagine for a moment you believed things would work out...

Too busy to read this blog...well I’ve got your back friend. I’ve recorded an audio clip, so you can listen to it easily.

Do you ever catch yourself wondering will this actually work?

OR…

What if this doesn’t work?

I spent a good part of my early entrepreneurial days operating from the belief that things wouldn’t work, and I needed to do everything in my power to prove they could.

If I’m being honest it was exhausting.

I was working on overdrive desperately trying to prove to myself and others that my business idea wasn’t stupid, and it was worth ditching my high-paying corporate career.

And I’d often talk myself out of going after what I really wanted, in fear of failing.

Please tell me I’m not alone…

The thing is...you don’t actually know the outcome until you try. No matter how convincing your mind is, it doesn’t know for certain what will happen.

So imagine for a moment you believed things would work instead of them not working out.

Imagine how much time you’d save trying to prove yourself wrong. I mean that is what we are doing when we are working so hard to prove to ourselves and others that our dreams will work out.

I know this was one of the biggest things holding me back from achieving great success.

Even when I’d get proof that my dreams were possible I’d catch myself saying, “well it only happened once so it could be pure luck, or what if it doesn’t work next time.”

I was always waiting for the shoe to drop, and everything to crumble to the ground.

I was fighting for my limitations instead of fighting for the possibilities that I was worthy of my dreams.

Believing in ourselves and our dreams is the first step to achieving business success. Without the belief we’ll continue holding ourselves back from fully achieving what we want.

That is why I want to share three key questions that have literally changed my life. They’ve helped me question my thoughts and move from a fear-based mindset to one of abundance.

When that fear-based thought pops into my head I ask these questions:

  1. Do I know for certain that what I’m thinking is true? If so, how?
  2. How is holding onto this thought serving me?
  3. What thought would better serve me?

Once I come up with my new thought, I create a mantra that I repeat until I’ve fully worked through my limiting belief.

These three questions have helped me rewire my thinking; and help me to play big instead of small.

How about you? Are you ready to believe things will work out instead of trying to prove they will?
