Why I encourage my clients to take quick action and fail as often as possible?

Too busy to read this blog...well I’ve got your back friend. I’ve recorded an audio clip, so you can listen to it easily.

It’s funny because we spend the majority of our lives trying to avoid failure.

    Failed relationships.
    Failed businesses.
    Failed courses and exams.
    Not getting the job.
    Not making the sports team.

Am I right?

I get it!

But failure is inevitable. We can’t actually avoid it. I mean I’d be hard pressed to find someone on this planet that hasn’t experienced some type of failure or mistake in their life.

In fact, the majority of uber successful entrepreneurs have failed at some point in their journey. And yet, they are still successful.

Let’s take Steve Jobs for instance. He was
fired from Apple in 1985. Fired from a company he founded with his partner Steve Wozniak.

If you’ve been fired before you know it’s not a great feeling. Now imagine being fired from a company you created.

But over a decade later he was back working at Apple trying to save it from going under. He didn’t allow a NO or rejection to stop him; and nor should you.

Because failure is one of our greatest teachers
, if we allow it. And super successful people understand the importance of failing, while not letting it stop them.

They get back up and try again!!

“Failure is simply an opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently” - Henry Ford.

That is why I encourage my clients to take quick inspired action in their business and fail as often as possible. And the amazing results they’re experiencing are from the mistakes not from the success.

But one of the most common mistakes I see online entrepreneurs make is waiting to take action in their business in fear of things not working out.

And as a result they end up spending years struggling to build a profitable business. I hate to break it to you, but this my friend is the sure fire way to not build that 6 or 7 figure business.

That is why I want to share three things I’ve done that have helped me double my monthly sales, and helped my clients 5x their revenue.

1. Loosen Your Grip

This is a big one!! And something that took me a few years to understand. In the first few years of running my business, I had such a tight grip on it. I was desperately trying to control everything.

I actually thought this was the only way to guarantee success. While it seemed like the best option, I am living proof that it’s not.

Besides the massive amount of stress and pressure I put on myself, I was actually setting my business up for long-term failure. The thing is we can only sustain the control mentality for so long before we hit burnout.

And that’s exactly what happened to me. I hit a massive burnout two years in, which forced me to loosen my grip. I didn’t have a choice. And in that moment of surrender I realized that my business didn’t come crashing down. In fact, it grew. And my clients are experiencing the exact same thing.

So I ask you this, where can you loosen your grip in your life and business? And when you think you’ve surrendered enough, try surrendering more.

2. Start Taking Inspired Action

Have you ever felt like you are doing all this work with little to show for it?

Well that’s because not all actions are equal. Meaning you can take a bunch of action in your business but each task doesn’t guarantee you the same results.

So if you feel like you are really busy and not getting the results you want, it’s likely because you aren’t taking inspired action.

Action that will actually move the needle forward in your business, knowing that all action isn’t equal.

Ya know…

Those hits of inspiration that come to you in the shower, while driving, meditating, or right before you fall asleep.

Man you’d think these ideas could come at a better time.

How the heck am I supposed to jot down my ideas in the shower or while I am driving?

Well, voice notes work wonders for that, but I digress. The point is not all action is equal and shouldn’t be treated this way.

And the more inspired action you take the better results you’ll start receiving. Daily practices that help get more of these hits include meditation, journaling, and reading.

I actually found that in my state of burnout I was less likely to receive those hits of inspiration. So, if you find yourself working hard and keeping busy, try slowing down and doing less.

It worked magic for me!!

3.  Fall in Love with The Process

This one is my favourite, because I used to be obsessed with ‘chasing’ success as long as I could avoid the mistakes. Well it was more so the emotions that flowed when I hit a bump in the road.

I hated feeling…

    Upset.
    Sad.
    Frustrated.
   Angry.
   Disappointed.

So I tried to control everything to avoid feeling this way. And when I did feel those feelings I stuffed them so far down, and moved on.

But suppressing feelings is like taking a drug to numb them. It wreaks havoc on your body and they will always surface at some point until you let them fully come out.

And if you’ve read this far you know that avoiding failure is impossible. I was able to create massive growth in my business when I learned to ‘fall in love with the process’ and accept that failure was part of it.

Also, allowing myself to feel disappointment, anger, sadness, and frustration while accepting that these feelings aren’t good or bad. They are just feelings and emotions that need to be released.

So truly falling in love with the process regardless of what it looks and feels like is vital for helping you keep your vibe high. It doesn’t mean you are always happy and joyful, it just means you know how to process your feelings so you can get back to that happy and joyful state quicker.

I’d love for you to give these a try and let me know what you think!
